हमारी भाषा के महान कवियों में एक केदारनाथ सिंह ने इस साल 80 वें साल में प्रवेश किया है, और इसी साल उनका 8 वां कविता संग्रह भी आया है- ‘सृष्टि पर पहरा’। वे आज भी बेहतरीन कविताएं लिख रहे हैं, इस संग्रह की कविताएं इसकी ताकीद करती हैं। कुछ चुनिन्दा कविताएं आपके लिए- जानकी पुल।

एक पुरबिहा का आत्मकथ्य

पर्वतों में मैं
अपने गाँव का टीला हूँ
पक्षियों में कबूतर
भाखा में पूरबी
दिशाओं में उत्तर
वृक्षों में बबूल हूँ
अपने समय के बजट में
एक दुखती हुई भूल
नदियों में चंबल हूँ
सर्दियों में
एक बुढ़िया का कंबल
इस समय यहाँ हूँ
पर ठीक समय
बगदाद में जिस दिल को
चीर गई गोली
वहाँ भी हूँ
हर गिरा खून
अपने अंगोछे से पोंछता
मैं वही पुरबिहा हूँ
जहां भी हूँ।

विज्ञान और नींद
जब ट्रेन चढ़ता हूँ
तो विज्ञान को धन्यवाद देता हूँ
वैज्ञानिक को भी
जब उतरता हूँ वायुयान से
तो ढेरों धन्यवाद देता हूँ विज्ञान को
और थोड़ा सा ईश्वर को भी
पर जब बिस्तर पर जाता हूँ
और रोशनी में नहीं आती नींद
तो बत्ती बुझाता हूँ
और सो जाता हूँ
विज्ञान के अंधेरे में
अच्छी नींद आती है।
