मुस्कुराइए कि आप
अंडर सर्विलेंस हैं
मुस्कुराइए कि आपके नहीं
पड़ोस में पड़ा है डाका
मुस्कुराइए कि आज नहीं
कम से आज नहीं होगा फाका
मुस्कुराइए कि आज भी बेटी
ठीक ठाक लौट आई है घर
मुस्कुराइए कि कानून की आप पर
अभी पड़ी नहीं है नज़र
मुस्कुराइए कि आपके साथ
अभी नहीं हुई कोई ट्रैजेडी नीच
मुस्कुराइए कि आपके
हैं नेता आपके बीच
मुस्कुराइए कि बगल का नामी लठैत
संसद में विराजमान है

मेरी आस्था ने गढ़े देवता
विश्वासों ने उनको किया अलंकृत
मेरी लाचारगी के ताप से
पकती गई उनकी मिट्टी
मेरे स्मरण से मिली ताकत से वे
जमते गए चौराहों पर
मैंने जब जब उनका किया आह्वान
आहूत किया यज्ञ किये
रक्तबीज से उग आए वे यहां वहां
काठ में, पत्थर में, पहाड़ में, कंदराओं में
मेरे वहम ने उनकी लकीरों को
धिस धिस कर किया गाढ़ा
मेरे अहं ने भर दिया
असीम बल उसके बाहुओं में,
मुझे दूसरे के देवता पर हँसी आती
मुझे हर तीसरे की किस्मत पे आता रोना
मुझे सुकून मिलता अपने देवता के
पैदा किए आतंक से
एक देवता क्या गढ़ा मैंने
मैं इंसान से शैतान हो गया

और मैंने अपना नेता भी नहीं चुना।
मैं चुना जाता रहा
जबकि मैंने अपना
होना या न होना तक नहीं चुना
जैसे चुनने का अधिकार
सिरे से नहीं था पास मेरे
वैसे ही न चुनने की भी सहूलियत
कभी नहीं थी पास मेरे
मेरा मैं एक भुलावा
मेरा सच बस चयनहीनता
मैं सच के समीकरणों का
एक संज्ञाहीन झूठा परिणाम

हास्यास्पद अंजाम

एक चीज़ जो थी बेमानी और नामहीन
