आज मंगल है, बुध, बिफ्फे और बस शुक्कर को अनारकली ऑफ़ आरा रिलीज हो रही है. अविनाश दास की इस फिलिम का सबकी तरह हमें भी बहुत इन्तजार है. इस इंतजारी में फिलहाल युवा लेखक नवनीत नीरव का यह लेख पढ़िए. फिलिम पर नहीं है लेकिन बढ़िया माहौल बनाये हैं- मॉडरेटर

सुना है कि ‘इंगलिसपुर आरावाली अनरकलिया’ सिनेमा में चली गयी है। पूरा गाँव जवार उसकी चर्चा कर करके हल्कान हुआ जा रहा है। कोई अख़बार में ख़बर पढ़कर इसकी चर्चा करता है तो कोई मोबाईल में उसके गाने का वीडियो देखकर इस बात की तस्दीक करता है। लोग अपने –अपने तरीके से उसकी कहानी कहते हैं। किस्से-कहकहे अचानक माहौल में सजीव हो उठे हैं। एक बार फिर से जिला में ‘अनरकलिया वाला’ माहौल बन रहा है।
ऐसा नहीं है कि फ़िल्म में जाने से पहले अनरकलिया के प्रोग्राम में केवल हल्ला ही उठता था। कितने बूढ़े-पुरनिया लोग उसकी गायकी के हुनर की कद्र करते थे। इज्जत से अनारकली को ‘बाई जी’ कहा करते थे। बारात-मरजात में विशेष आग्रह से महफ़िल की शोभा बढ़ाने के लिए बुलाया जाता था। रात भर कई हजार जोड़ी आँखों के सामने कार्यक्रम चलता रहता। स्टेज पर नोटों की बरसात। साथ खड़े मसखरे की नौटंकी और रसभरी बातें करना। गाँव की महिलाएं कहीं दूर किसी दीवार के पीछे या खलिहान के पुआल की ढेरी की पीछे छिप-छिपकर से उन्हें देखने के लिए टकटकी बांधे रहतीं। जैसे-जैसे रात गहराती, महफ़िल की रौनक बढ़ती जाती। नगाड़ों की गड़गड़ाहट पर कई-कई ताल अनारकलियाँ गाती और झूमती जातीं। क्या मजाल जो किसी की पलक क्षण भर के लिए झपके। कोई हवा पानी लेने के लिए भी शामियाने से बाहर नहीं निकलता था। दूल्हा के पिता की इज्जत कई गुना बढ़ जाती थी जब कई महीने तक गाँव-जवार में उस बारात की कथा-व्यथा चलती रहती।
आरा के आस पास के जिलों में बारात के सुबह मंगढाका की परंपरा है। जिसमें बारात पक्ष के बड़े-बुजुर्ग दुल्हन को कपड़े-लत्ते देते हैं। वर पक्ष के लोग अनारकलियों को वधू पक्ष के आँगन में ले जाने की मंशा रखते हैं। ताकि शामियाने के बाद दूसरी महफ़िल आँगन में सजा कर गाँव की महिलाओं के बीच भी अपना दबदबा दिखा सकें। सुबह के वक्त आँगन में गाँव-घर की महिलाएं भी होती हैं। यानि रात भर के कार्यक्रम के बाद अनारकलियों को अपनी संधर्मा के लिए नाचने-गाने का मौका होता है। बस यहीं से सबकुछ जैसे बदल जाता है। कला का उत्सव ‘बंदिश’ में रूपांतरित हो जाता है। जो गाँव रात भर अनारकली के गाने पर वाहवाही करता है। पैरों की थिरकन पर नोट पर नोट बिछा देता है। वही सवेरे उनके आँगन में ‘बेटी-बहू और घर की औरतों का हवाला देते हुए प्रवेश पर रोक लगा देता है। कहीं बहुत मुलायम तरीके से विनती करते हुए तो कहीं लाठी और बंदूक की धौंस पर। अनारकली का घर में प्रवेश नहीं होता है। कहीं दालान या बरामदे पर ही दूसरी महफ़िल सजती है। अनारकलियों का अपनी हमजात स्त्रियों का दर्शन और उनके सामने प्रदर्शन तो ऐसे भी दुर्लभ होता है। ऐसे कर्मों से उसकी मियाद थोड़े और दिनों के लिए बढ़ ही जाती है।
बचपन में कोई भी दोस्त-यार जब भी आरा जाता, तो लौटने पर शहर के दो-तीन किस्से जरूर सुनाता। मसलन बाबू बजार में में जब वह अनारकली के घर के सामने से गुजरा तो वह इशारे दे रही थी। उसके बाद दो-तीन बातें चटखारे लेकर सुना देता। कोई भी यह नहीं कहता था कि कौतूहल या जुगुप्सावश वह स्वयं अनारकली की देहरी पर जाकर खड़ा हुआ था। सुना है कई लोगों को तो इनकी आदत सी लग जाती थी। अपने घर परिवार की चिंता छोड़कर दिन-रात उनके कोठों पर बैठे रहते थे। ना जाने कौन सा आकर्षण था कि अपनी बीवी और बाल बच्चों का मोह भी घर में बांध न पाता। फिर शुरू होता घर के लोगों द्वारा अनारकली को समझाईश का दौर। दीवाने को कोई समझाना से तो रहा। अंतिम विकल्प ‘राइफल’ लेकर बाबूसाहेब लोग कोठे पर पहुँच जाते। शायद इस भ्रम में कि वो राइफल देखकर डर जाएगी और मना कर देगी। जो काम वह पहले ही कर चुकी होती है। लेकिन वह डरेगी तो नहीं। नादान लोग कैसे यह भूल जाते हैं कि अनारकली ने कितने शामियानों को गोलियों से छिदते देखा है। असंख्य दफ़े अपनी और अपनी सहेलियों की तरफ तनी हुई दोनाली देखी है। जिस मंच पर नाचती है उस पर लाशे गिरते देखी है अपनी सहेलियों और उनके आशिकों की। उसने देखा है कि कैसे आपसी रंजिश में मर्दवादी समाज रात भर के कार्यक्रम में उनको मोहरा बना लेता है और नाचने पर जान से मार देने की धमकी देता है। सिपाही से लेकर दारोगा तक कैसे मौके का फायदा उठाने की ताक में रहते हैं। यह सब इसलिए होता है क्योंकि वे उस पुरुष समाज में अकेली औरते हैं। जिनकी नुमाइश होती है और जिसे कोई भी आसान ‘माल’ समझ लेता है।
अनारकलियों के प्रेम प्रसंगों की चर्चा आम है। बात- बात पर एक किस्सा सुनाया जाता है कि एक बार अनरकली ने खुद पर रीझे हुए एक प्रेमी से कहा था
- “साबित करो कि तुम मुझसे सचमुच ही प्रेम करते हो!”
- “कैसे?” आकंठ प्रेम में डूबे प्रेमी ने पूछा।
- “अपनी माँ का सिर काटकर ले आना!” प्रेम को साबित करने की कठिन शर्त रख दी थी उसने।
प्रेमी सचमुच में अपनी उस माँ का सिर काटकर ले आता है जो हमेशा ‘बेटा-बेटा’ करती रहती थी। अनारकली इस पर से भी खुश नहीं होती। वह अपने प्रेमी को ठोकर मारती है और कहती है
- “जो अपनी माँ का नहीं हो सका, वो मेरा क्या होगा?”
इस तरह की किस्से कहानियाँ न जाने किसने गढ़ी होंगी और क्यों? आखिर अनारकली को समाज में खलचरित्र के तौर पर पेश करने में इन किस्से कहानियों का भी हाथ है।
समाज अक्सर गुणों को दरकिनार कर व्यक्ति विशेष के बारे में सोचता है। अनारकलियों कई वर्षों के गीत-संगीत और नृत्य की विधिवत शिक्षा और साधना के बाद ही प्रदर्शन के लिए समाज के सामने खड़ी होती हैं। परंतु समाज को खड़ी दिखती है अकेली एक स्त्री। जिसका येन केन प्रकारेण वह लाभ लेना चाहता है।
यह भी सच है हाल के वर्षों में अनारकलियों के प्रदर्शनों में गिरावट आई है। खासकर यह घटना मुंबई के डांस बार बंद होने के बाद के वर्षों में बढ़ी थी। हजारों लड़कियां इस पेशे में आयीं थीं। राजगीर महोत्सव का एक अनुभव कुछ ऐसा ही रहा था। जब एक ही मंच पर चालीस की संख्या में लड़कियां किसी अश्लील भोजपुरी गाने पर रात भर खड़े होकर कमर हिला रही थीं। मंच के सामने ठीक नीचे खड़े लड़कों के झुंड में से कोई उनका फोन नंबर ले रहा था तो कोई रुमाल पर लिपिस्टिक पुते होठों की छाप। कोई अगले दिन उनका समय चाहता था ताकि 600-1000 रुपए देकर उन्हें अपने साथ कुछ घंटों के लिए ले जा सके। बारातों में जो लड़कियां नाचने-गाने के लिए आती हैं उनके पास कला की नुमाइश का हुनर कम होता है। इस वजह से पूरा का पूरा कार्यक्रम कला को समर्पित न होकर द्विअर्थी गाने और उनपर होने वाले भद्दे इशारों की भेंट चढ़ जाता है।
लेकिन अनारकलियों के बारे में इतिहास में कुछ रोचक बातें भी दर्ज हैं जिनका जिक्र यहाँ जरूरी हो जाता है। 1857 के प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का जब भी जिक्र आता है बिहार के बाबू कुँवर सिंह की बात की जाती है। वे युद्ध कला मे पारंगत होने के साथ साथ संगीत साधना में भी निपुण थे। उनके दरबार के विशेष आयोजनों में दूर-दूर के कलावंत आया करते। राजा की ओर से उनको विशेष रूप से सम्मानित एवं पुरस्कृत किया जाता था। उसी क्रम में एक बार आरा की दो प्रसिद्ध नर्तकियाँ धरमन और करमन जगदीशपुर के एक कार्यक्रम में आई तो राजा उनकी कला एवं सौंदर्य पर मुग्ध हो गए। कुँवर सिंह के हृदय पर धरमन की कला और उसके प्रेम ने एकाधिकार पा लिया।। कुँवर सिंह का प्रेम अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध हुआ। आरा का वर्तमान धरमन चौक और उस जगह स्थित धरमन मस्जिद उसी प्रेम के स्मारक हैं। उनमें धरमन की बहन करमन के प्रति भी विशेष स्नेह- भाव था। धरमन चौक की तरह करमन के नाम पर बसा हुआ करमन टोला उसी स्नेह का स्मृति चिन्ह है । उन्होने करमन के लिए भी एक मस्जिद का निर्माण कराया था। वह आज भी है और इन दोनों मस्जिदों में नमाज़ अदा की जाती है। धरमन ने आगे चलकर कुँवर सिंह के साथ अंग्रेजों के विरुद्ध युद्ध में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया। संयुक्त प्रांत के कालपी के रणक्षेत्र में लड़ते हुए वह अंग्रेजों की तोपों का शिकार हुई और इस तरह उसने देश और अपने प्रेम के लिए खुद का बलिदान किया। धरमन नाम की इस अनारकली के प्रति भोजपुर के लोगों के मन में श्रद्धा का भाव है। यह धार्मिक सहिष्णुता और सौहार्द का सुंदर उदाहरण है।
तो आरा की अनारकलियों, देश की और दुनिया की अनारकलियों तुम्हारी जीजिविषा, तुम्हारे दुस्साहस और डर को ठेंगे पर रखने की तदबीर को हमारी खूब सारी मुहब्बत और सलाम पहुंचे कि वो तुम्ही हो कि जिसने रंग भरे हैं। तितली के रंग-बिरंगे पंखों सी तुम्हारी शोखियाँ, तुम्हारी हँसी यूं ही बरकरार रहे…
