हाल में ही राजकमल प्रकाशन से एक किताब आई है ‘प्रारंभिक रचनाएं’, जिसमें नामवर सिंह की कुछ शुरूआती रचनाओं को संकलित किया गया है. संपादन भारत यायावर ने किया है. उसमें नामवर जी की कुछ आरंभिक कविताएँ भी हैं. उसी में से कुछ चुनी हुई कविताएँ आपके लिए- जानकी पुल.

कभी जब याद आ जाते
कभी जब याद आ जाते
नयन को घेर लेते घन,
स्वयं में रह न पाता मन
लहर से मूक अधरों पर
व्यथा बनती मधुर सिहरन
न दुःख मिलता न सुख मिलता
न जाने प्रान क्या पाते.
तुम्हारा प्यार बन सावन,
बरसता याद के रसकन
कि पाकर मोतियों का धन
उमड़ पड़ते नयन निर्धन
विरह की घाटियों में भी
मिलन के मेघ मडराते.
झुका-सा प्रान का अम्बर,
स्वयं ही सिंधु बन-बनकर
ह्रदय की रिक्तता भरता
उठा शत कल्पना जलधर.
ह्रदय-सर रिक्त रह जाता
नयन घट किंतु भर आते.

नभ के नीले सूनेपन में
नभ के नीले सूनेपन में
हैं टूट रहे बरसे बादर
जाने क्यों टूट रहा है तन!
बन में चिड़ियों के चलने से
हैं टूट रहे पत्ते चरमर
जाने क्यों टूट रहा है मन!
घर के बर्तन की खन-खन में
हैं टूट रहे दुपहर के स्वर
जाने कैसा लगता जीवन!

फागुनी शाम
फागुनी शाम अंगूरी उजास
बतास में जंगली गंध का डूबना
ऐंठती पीर में
दूर, बराह-से
जंगलों के सुनसान का कुंथना.
बेघर बेपरवाह
दो राहियों का
नत शीश
न देखना, न पूछना.
शाल की पंक्तियों वाली
निचाट-सी राह में
घूमना घूमना घूमना.

पारदर्शी नील जल में
पारदर्शी नील जल में सिहरते शैवाल
चांद था, हम थे, हिला तुमने दिया भर ताल
क्या पता था, किंतु प्यासे भी मिलेंगे आज
दूर होंठों से, दृगों से सम्पुटित दो नाल

पथ में साँझ
पथ में सांझ
पहाड़ियां ऊपर
पीछे अंके झरने का पुकारना
सीकरों की मेहराब की छाँव में
छूटे हुए कुछ का ठुन्कारना
एक ही धार में डूबते
दो मनों का टकराकर
दीठ निवारना
याद है, चूड़ी के टूक-से चांद पे
तैरती आंखों में आँख का ढारना?
