इस बार ३ दिसंबर को ‘कवि के साथ’ कार्यक्रम में लीना मल्होत्रा भी अपनी कविताएँ सुनाएंगी. लीना जी की कविताओं में सार्वजनिक के बरक्स मुखर निजता है जो हिंदी कविता की एक अलग ज़मीन लगती है. ३ दिसंबर को तो दिल्लीवाले उनकी कविताओं को सुनेंगे हम यहाँ पढते हैं- जानकी पुल.
ऊब के नीले पहाड़
कितना कुछ है मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच इस ऊब के अलावा
यह ठीक है तुम्हारे छूने से अब मुझे कोई सिहरन नही होती
और एक पलंग पर साथ लेटे हुए भी हम अक्सर एक दूसरे के साथ नही होते
मै चाहती हूँ कि तुम चले जाया करो अपने लम्बे लम्बे टूरों पर
तुम्हारा जाना मुझे मेरे और करीब ले आता है
तुम्हारे लौटने पर मैंने संवरना भी छोड़ दिया है
तुम्हारी निगाहों से नही देखती अब मै खुद को
यह कितनी अजीब बात है कि ये धीरे धीरे मरता हुआ रिश्ता
कब पूरी तरह मर जाएगा इसका अहसास भी नही होगा हमें
लेकिन फिर भी
तुम्हारी अनुपस्थिति में जब किसी की बीमारी कि खबर आती है
तो मुझे तुम्हारे सुन्न पड़ते पैरों कि चिंता होने लगती है
कोई नया पल जब मेरी जिंदगी में प्रस्फुटित होता है
तो बहुत दूर से ही पुकार के मै तुम्हे बताना चाहती हूँ
कि आज कुछ ऐसा हुआ है कि मुझे तुम्हारा यहाँ न होना खल रहा है
कि तुम ही हो जिससे बात करते वक्त मैं नही सोचती की यह बात मुझे कहनी चाहिए या नहीं.
और जब मुझे ज्वर हो आता है
तुम्हारा हर मिनट फ़ोन की घंटी बजाना और मेरा हाल पूछना
शायद वह ज्वर तुम्हारा ध्यान खींचने का बहाना ही होता था शुरू में
लेकिन अब
इसकी मुझे आदत हो गई है
और मै दूंढ ही नही पाती
वो दवा
जो तुम रात के दो बजे भी घर के किसी कोने से ढूढ़ के ले आते हो मेरे लिए
और सिर्फ तुम ही जानते हो इस पूरी दुनिया में
कि सर्दियों में मेरे पैर सुबह तक ठंडे ही रहते हैं
कि मुझे बहुत गर्म चाय ही बहुत पसंद है
कि आइस क्रीम खाने के बाद मै खुद को इतनी कैलरीज खाने के लिए कोसूँगी ज़रूर
कि तुम्हारे ड्राईविंग करते हुए फ़ोन करने से मैं कितना चिढ जाती हूँ
कि जब तुम कहते हो बस अब मै मर रहा हूँ
तो मै रूआंसी नही होती
उल्टा कहती हूँ तुमसे
५० लाख कि इंशोरेंस करवा लो ताकि मैं बाकी जिंदगी आराम से गुज़ार सकूँ
और फिर कितना हँसते हैं हम दोनों
इस तरह मौत से भी नही डरता ये हमारा रिश्ता
तो फिर ऊब से क्या डरेगा ??
ये हमारे बीच का कम्फर्ट लेवल है न
यह उस ऊब के बाद ही पैदा होता है
क्योंकि
किसी को बहुत समझ लेना भी जानलेवा होता है प्रिय
कितनी ही बाते हम इसलिए नही कर पाते कि हम जानते होते हैं
कि क्या कहोगे तुम इस बात पर
और कैसे पटकुंगी मैं बर्तन जो तुम्हारा बी पी बढ़ा देगा
और इस तरह
ख़ामोशी के पहाड़ों को नीला रंगते हुए ही दिन बीत जाता है.
और उस पहाड़ का नुकीला शिखर हमारी नजरो की छुरियों से डरकर भुरभुराता रहता है
और जब तुम नही होते शहर में
मैं कभी सुबह की चाय नही पीती
और अखबार भी यूँ ही तह लगाया पड़ा रहता है
खाना भी एक समय ही बनाती हूँ
और
और वह नीला रंगा पहाड़ धूसरित रंग में बदल जाता है
फोन पर चित्र नही दिखते इसलिए जब शब्द आवश्यक हो जाते हैं
और तुम
पूछते हो क्या कर रही हो
मैं कहती हूँ
बॉय फ्रेंड की हंटिंग के लिए जा रही हूँ
और
तुम शुभकामनाये देते हो
और कहते हो की इस बार कोई अमीर आदमी ही ढूँढना
ये डार्क ह्यूमर हमारे रिश्ते को कितनी शिद्दत से बचाए रखता है
और इस ऊब में उबल उबल कर कितना गाढ़ा हो गया है ये हमारा रिश्ता

ऊब के नीले पहाड़
‘दूसरा’ सदैव दूसरा ही रहता है- लाख अपना होने पर भी. सृष्टि ने ऐसा ही निर्धारित किया है. सृजन के लिए यह आवश्यक भी है. हमारे जीवन का रोमांच (अथवा ऊब’) इसी से है.
दूसरे का एक पक्ष है सम्बन्ध का जिसके दो पहलू होते हैं:- एक प्रेम का और दूसरा सरोकार का. हमारे सम्बन्धों में एक उम्र के बाद बहुधा प्रेम नेपथ्य में चला जाता है और सरोकार के बल पर सम्बन्ध चक्र गतिशील रहता है. वस्तुतः सरोकार अब किसी ‘अपूर्णता’ की और इंगित करता है- ‘उसके’ होने को लेकर भी और उसके’ न होने को ले कर भी. लीना की इस कविता में उम्र के ऐसे ही एक पड़ाव पर कविता की नायिका नायक के साथ अपने इन दो पहलुओं से निकलने वाने जिस ‘डार्क ह्यूमर’ की बात संभवतय अपने आप से कह रही है उसे हर पाठक अपने जीवन के अनुभव के अनुसार समझता है. कितनों को लगता है कि लीना ने उनके मन की बात ही कह दी है.
कविता की नायिका कह रही है कि हमारे सम्बन्धों के बीच उभर आये हैं ‘ऊब के नीले पहाड़’. रोमांच का दौर निकल चुका है. तुम्हारे लिए सजने संवरने को अब मन लालायित नहीं होता. इसलिए “ तुम्हारे लौटने पर मैंने संवरना भी छोड़ दिया है”. ऐसा करने का कोई प्रयोजन भी नहीं लगता. अब अकेला रहने का मन अधिक करता है क्योंकि “तुम्हारा जाना मुझे मेरे और करीब ले आता है.” लेकिन इसका अर्थ यह नहीं कि तुम्हारा अस्तित्व मेरे लिए कुछ अर्थ नहीं रखता. इसे लेकर तो कोई समझौता हो ही नहीं सकता. कोई बुरा समाचार मिलते ही ‘मुझे तुम्हारे सुन्न पड़ते पैरों कि चिंता होने लगती है.’ यह वैसा ही कुछ है जैसे केवल तुम्ही जानते हो “कि सर्दियों में मेरे पैर सुबह तक ठंडे ही रहते हैं.” और जब तुम शहर में नहीं होते तो “मैं कभी सुबह की चाय नही पीती”. सत्य तो यही है कि “ऊब में उबल उबल कर कितना गाढ़ा हो गया है ये हमारा रिश्ता.”
‘डार्क ह्यूमर’ वास्तव में caramalised sugar है
जिस तरह से लीना ने ‘ऊब’ की विषयवस्तु को लिया है और उसे एक चरित्र के माध्यम से व्यक्त किया है, जिस प्रकार से उसे सम्बन्धों के ताने बाने में पिरोया है उससे उसके कला कौशल की जानकारी मिलती है. मैं नहीं जानता कि लीना के काव्य कौशल का अभी तक कोई मूल्यांकन हुआ है कि नहीं लेकिन यदि नहीं हुआ है तो जल्द होना चाहिये ताकि समकालीन और उभरते हुए कवि उनसे कुछ सीख सकें.

लीना की कविताएं अन्य महिला कवियों की कविताओं से अलग हैं, इस मायने में कि ये नई ज़मीन तोडती हैं. एक विशिष्ट स्त्री झांकती है, इन सभी कविताओं में. विषय-मुहावरा-तेवर, सब कुछ अलग. "ऊब के नीले पहाड़" के बूते पर ही यह बात कही जाती, तो भी ग़लत नहीं होती. इस कवि से हिंदी कविता को बहुत उम्मीद करनी चाहिए. मुझे ताज्जुब है कि ब्लॉग पर जब पहली बार ये कविताएं पोस्ट हुईं तब मेरी नज़र इन पर क्यों नहीं गई! यूं, ये सारी कविताएं मेरी पढ़ी हुई हैं.
