आइए उनकी दो ताज़ा ग़ज़लों से रूबरू होते हैं-

वो किसी बात का चर्चा नहीं होने देता
अपने जख्मों का वो जलसा नहीं होने देता
ऐसे कालीन को मैं किसलिए घर में रखूं
वो जो आवाज को पैदा नहीं होने देता
ये बड़ा शहर गले सबको लगा लेता है
पर किसी शख्स को अपना नहीं होने देता
उसकी फितरत में यही बात बुरी है यारों
बहते पानी को वो दरिया नहीं होने देता
ये जो अनबन का है रिश्ता मेरे भाई साहब
घर के माहौल को अच्छा नहीं होने देता।

मैं अपने हौसले को यकीनन बचाउंगा
घर से निकल पड़ा हूं तो फिर दूर जाउंगा
तूफान, आज तुझसे मेरा है मुकाबला
तू तो बुझाएगा दीए पर मैं जलाउंगा
इस अजनबी नगर में करुंगा मैं और क्या
रूठूंगा अपने आपसे, खुद को मनाउंगा
ये चुटकुला उधार अगर दे सके, तो आज
घर में हैं भूखी बेटियां उनको हंसाउंगा
गुल्लक में एक दर्द का सिक्का है दोस्तों
बाजार जा रहा हूं कि उसको चलाउंगा।
